2010 FTRL Rules

FTRL Rule book for 2010

THESE RULES ARE FOR EVERY SERIES THAT WE RUN HERE AT FTRL
WHETHER IT BE TNT, THUNDER, SNSS OR ANY OTHER SERIES...

These are the rules we will follow while running our series and special events... We try to keep our rules current
and up to date with Nascar. The rest is what we add for the online experience.

FTRL - The League

FTRL is a family style "COMPETITIVE-FUN" League... but it is also a professionally operated Sim Racing League...
If you feel that you cannot abide by our small rules package... then this is not your place...

PACE AND CAUTION LAPS:

Maintain a distance of .2-.5 seconds behind the car in front of you. Pole sitter / lead car should consistently maintain the pace speed behind the pace car and until the green flag drops.

Laying back or jump starting will result in a penalty / points loss.

If it’s a SINGLE FILE restart….you MUST cross the S/F line behind the car / truck in front of you….NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you have a black flag while under caution, you MUST cross the S/F line after the green flag drops and then pit to clear your black flag. Drivers “laying back” to dive into the pits before crossing the S/F line will be penalized.

Lapped cars are to pass through the pits so they end up behind lead lap cars with 10 or less laps to go during a caution.

NO RESTARTS AFTER GREEN FLAG DROPS!!!!

YELLOW FLAG SITUATIONS:

If you are the direct reason bringing out a yellow flag we ask you to type a C in the race chat. If you cause two yellows in the same race we ask you to please park your car for the remainder of the race. If you are unsure if it is your C, type it in anyways and ask for it to be reviewed by the Admin. If you DO NOT type in a C and the Admin reviews the incident and finds you at fault you will be required to sit out the next race in that series.

All drivers who cause a yellow MUST speed on pit road to get a EOLL (End Of Longest Line) penalty.

There is NO racing back to the yellow flag….the field is frozen. You may pass cars that are off pace or recovering from an incident. Maintain your speed until you cross the S/F line and then slow down on the backstretch and wait for the pace car…..BE PREPARED TO STOP.

BE AWARE that if you wreck under caution you will be deducted 50 points from your total points standings for each offense for the race.

THERE WILL BE RACING BACK TO THE S/F LINE UNDER CAUTION WITH 10 OR LESS LAPS TO GO.

PIT ROAD:

Do NOT drive through pit stalls. When entering the pits be aware of other cars and stay to the outside lane until you approach your pit stall.

LUCKY DOGS:

When a yellow comes out the first driver that is lap(s) down will be the “Lucky Dog”. You will be told by the Admin either verbally or in game chat. When it is your time to pit we ask you to speed on pit road (do NOT pass the pace car) and receive a EOLL penalty. You will receive 1 lap back after the green flag drops.

There will be NO lucky dogs with 10 or less laps to go.

TEAMSPEAK CHAT:

We ask that chatter stops when a caution comes out so we all can hear our spotters. There have been too many times when drivers have received a black flag because they couldn’t hear their spotter. It is better for all drivers to be on Teamspeak for races if you can…..but keep the chatter down to a low roar and race related.

PENALTIES:

If you flame (swear at) any driver in any way through Teamspeak, game chat, forums, email,etc…..you will be severely reprimanded and possibly banned from the league.

If you intentionally ruin another drivers race you will be severely reprimanded and possibly banned from the league.

Blocking during a race will not be accepted until 10 laps to go. If you are found to be guilty of excessive blocking a points deduction will take place.

CONNECTION:

If you get disconnected from the server during a race you will be allowed one attempt to re-join the race….multiple laps will be given back until you are one lap down from the last place car…with a max of 10 laps. When you return or at any time if other drivers are informing you that you are warping badly…please fall to the rear of the field until the situation clears up. If you fall out a second time…..you may return but only to watch. Your night of racing is done.

PROVISIONALS:

Drivers will be allowed 3 provisionals per quarter. These provisionals must be asked for…they are not automatic. Drivers requesting provisional points will be awarded last place points for that race up to a maximum of 118 points. All provisional requesters will be awarded the same total of points for that race.

PROBATION AND SUSPENSIONS:

If a driver causes two incidents (anything that brings out a yellow) he will be put on probation.

2. If a driver causes an incident in three consecutive races he will be put on probation.

CLEARING PROBATION:

To clear probation you MUST finish a complete race, running, and not cause any incidents.

SUSPENSIONS:

If a driver that is on probation and causes one incident during a race he will be put on a one race suspension for that series. This suspension does not clear probation. After returning from suspension the driver remains on probation until he completes a race, running, without any incidents.

2. If a driver get suspended a second time he must serve a
two race Suspension or may be dismissed from the league.

SERVER DISCONNECTS

There will be no server disconnects during or after qualifying without the consent of the Admin.
